Founded in 1882 by Eugène Weiss, the Weiss chocolate factory has always had as its goals innovation, respectful work and the highest level of expertise. Today it can boast an extensive production of excellent pastry products, delicious chocolate bars and spreads for every occasion.
The origins
It all began in Saint-Étienne, where Eugène discovered the art of praline making and chocolate mixing, making his way into the artisan chocolate business. The birth of chocolate with the highest percentage of cocoa marks a new era: Ébène 72% becomes the best-selling product. Since then, Weiss has been paying attention to selecting raw materials and choosing ingredients with a positive and responsible environmental and social impact, for healthy ingredients and to fight deforestation.
The social commitment
Weiss carefully selects the best ingredients to offer customers only the best, a gourmet product of the highest standard. It presents itself as a responsible company offering chocolates made of 100 percent pure cocoa butter, GMO-free, gluten-free and without artificial coloring. The chocolate factory sources from 9 countries, such as Vietnam and the Dominican Republic, to select healthy ingredients, fight deforestation and the resurgence of soy allergies, but most importantly to provide a better future for those working on cocoa plantations.
